About Me

The best way to describe my journey into massage therapy is to tell you it was a liberating accident. If you were to glance at my resume, you would find a variety of jobs. The underlying theme to all of them, however, is a background of business. In each position, I worked hard & rose up the ladder as high as I could with my educational limitations. I have worked in management at many of my past jobs, always starting from the bottom. The last place I worked at before becoming a LMT, I worked my way up from a receptionist to accounting representative. 10 years I spent in this world of business...

Shortly after my daughter was born, I was laid off from my accounting position. I entered into a whole new career of being a mom. The further away I got from a desk, the more I realized I never wanted to go back! After a year of staying home, I started to really formulate a plan.

I had been going to business school part-time online for a couple years, but was still far from my degree. One night, as I was trying to help my husband with some chronic back pain, I said haphazardly, "Maybe I should go to massage therapy school!" He wholeheartedly agreed. The next day I began my research, and after finding one that felt like a good fit, I launched into an adventure that would change my whole life. I worked extremely hard in school, securing a coveted status of Suma Cum Laude. I studied diligently for my MBLEx, and began working right away.

Massage Therapy has helped me in so many ways, but the most amazing thing it's done for me is it's given me a career that I just absolutely LOVE! It's the only job I have ever had that I feel excited to get to when I wake up, yet satisfied when the day is done. I have seen clients relieved of years of limitations, as well as those who literally just needed a simple hour to themselves. I believe massage serves the purpose of the client. I believe there is no set "right massage" because everyone is needing something different. I truly feel like the luckiest person to be a part of this...
